Why I’m Running for Mayor

San Diego is one of the greatest cities in America.

We have incredible neighborhoods, hardworking families, world-class healthcare, small businesses fighting to grow, and communities filled with resilience and heart.

But too many people are struggling. Too many families cannot afford to live here. Too many seniors feel forgotten. Too many people suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental illness are falling through broken systems. Too many residents feel like City Hall no longer listens to everyday people.

I know this because I have spent years working directly with people facing these challenges every single day. I did not come from politics. I came from healthcare, community service, and real-world problem solving.

What I Saw

The root cause isn't a lack of compassion.
It is systems that no longer work.

For years, I have worked closely with seniors, patients, families, and vulnerable communities across San Diego.

I have sat beside patients in hospitals who felt alone and forgotten. I have worked with seniors trying to navigate complicated systems that were never designed to truly care for them. I have met people experiencing homelessness who were struggling not only with housing, but with mental health, addiction, trauma, isolation, and the feeling that society had stopped seeing them as human beings.

I have seen families working hard every day while still falling behind because the cost of living keeps rising faster than opportunity.

Many of these problems are driven by clear structural failures:

Bureaucracy & Silos

Government programs and departments operate independently, completely disconnected from performance results.

Political Focus

Traditional system leadership focuses heavily on backroom politics rather than solving real problems on the street level.

The truth is: San Diego does not lack resources. San Diego lacks coordination, accountability, and leadership that puts people first.

A Fresh Approach

Why I Decided to Run

I decided to run for Mayor because I believe San Diego deserves leadership grounded in real experience — not career politics. This campaign is not about ideology. It is about solutions.

I have spent my career helping people navigate broken systems. I understand how healthcare, housing, community support, senior services, and outreach actually work on the ground level. I know what happens when government programs fail to communicate with each other, how delays and inefficiency affect real people, and how lives improve when systems are organized properly.

Building a San Diego that is:

  • Safer and structurally secure
  • More affordable for working classes
  • More compassionate toward individuals in crisis
  • More accountable across all public sectors
  • Relentlessly focused on tangible results

A city where working families can thrive, seniors are respected and supported, and homelessness is addressed with both compassion and accountability.

The Difference

I am not a career politician.

I am someone who has spent years working directly with people in crisis, families in need, seniors searching for dignity, and communities trying to navigate systems that often feel impossible to understand.

That experience changes you. It teaches you to listen before speaking. It teaches you that leadership is about service, and that policy only matters if it improves people’s lives. San Diego deserves leadership that understands both compassion and execution.

True Leadership Means:

Showing up, listening intently, solving systemic problems, and delivering verifiable results.

What We Will Avoid:

Making operational excuses, chasing media headlines, and dividing our distinct communities.

Community Voice

Connecting Across Neighborhoods

Listening directly to families, small business owners, and community advocates to establish clear operational accountability from day one.

The Blueprint

My Vision for San Diego

I believe San Diego can become a national model for practical homelessness solutions, affordable housing growth, senior support, healthcare innovation, public safety, government accountability, and economic opportunity.

But it starts with leadership willing to face problems honestly and work across communities to solve them.

For Every Neighborhood

Ensuring localized care infrastructure and city operations meet the specific demographic demands of our independent communities.

For Every Generation

Providing safe structures and dedicated systems where senior groups feel supported and children inherit a reliable foundation.

For Every Family

Expanding direct baseline opportunity so that working classes can securely construct a bright future right here in San Diego.

Make San Diego Work.

This campaign is about bringing people together around one simple idea. Our best days are still ahead.
